create your own links

If you use a shop regularly and do not want to have to visit this site every time you shop BUT do want to support the church, this page explains how you can create a direct shortcut from your favorites menu to the website of your choice and still ensure that the Church benefits from your shopping.

overview instructions

1

Create a favorites item on the favorites menu in your browser (it doesn't matter at this stage what it is called or where it points!);

2

Find a link to the shop you want to use on this site (that's the important bit!) - it doesn't matter whether it is a text link or a image link.

3

Hoover your mouse over the link, RH mouse click & select 'copy shortcut';

4

Go to your favorites menu, select the favorites item you created in step 1 above, RH Mouse click and select 'Properties';

5

Under the 'Web Document' tab highlight the existing link in the box adjacent to 'URL', RH mouse click and select 'Paste'. You should have replaced the existing link with the link to your selected shop;

6

You can re-name the shortcut by selecting the 'General' tab and replacing the name in the top box. Save it

7

Apply it by clicking 'OK' or 'Apply'!

These instructions assume that you browser is Internet Explorer (which is by far the most common browser in use). If using another browser the instructions will follow the same principle but the menu items will be named differently.

Remember it costs you nothing to support the church - simply remember to always shop on-line through this portal.
