village fete 14th June 2014On a beautiful day which had a bit of a breeze, fete '14 kicked-off with the traditional procession from the Tan House. The Fete was opened by incumbant Vicar, the Rev Julian White and a classic fete was had by all. In addition to all the traditional stalls, the fete hosted the 3rd annual Welsh Welly Wanging Open championship. The crowds wanged wellies, purchased cakes, consumed beer, sipped Pimms, won bottles, knocked over skittles, threw balls at coconuts, rummaged in bric-a-brac and so on. Overall a total of around £4,100 was raised to maintain the church in the village.
